Baby Memorial Hospital Observed International Noise Awareness Day
 

 

The International Noise Awareness Day (INAD) is observed annually to raise awareness on noise and how it affects public health. INAD is observed on any Wednesday in April. As part of this Baby Memorial Hospital in association with Motor Vehicle Department, Kerala Police, Indian Medical Association and National Initiative for Safe Sound conducted a seminar on “HONKING” on Wednesday 26th April 2017 in Baby Memorial Hospital.

The seminar was inaugurated by Dr. K G Alexander (Chairman and Managing Director, Baby Memorial Hospital) inaugurated the seminar. Dr. OS Rajendran (President Malabar ENT Association) spoke on the health hazard of noise pollution. CJ Paulson - Regional Transport Officer, Dr. PN Ajitha - President IMA, Calicut., Dr. Shankar Mahadevan – Convener National Initiative for Safe Sound, Ajin Kumar – Motor Vehicle Inspector – Tirurangadi, Radhakrishnan – Bus Owners Federation Convener and Dr. Soman Jacob – CEO, Baby Memorial Hospital where part of the event.

The event was great success with more than 150 drivers comprising of public and private bus drivers, auto drivers, truck drivers and regular people participating in this seminar.
