About the Fellowship

The SNIF Fellowship in Neurointervention and Stroke is a comprehensive training program designed to equip neurointerventionalists and stroke specialists with expertise in managing complex neurological disorders. This fellowship is conducted by the Stroke and Neurointervention Foundation (SNIF) at Baby Memorial Hospital, Kozhikode, a renowned institution in neurosciences.

  • Fellowship Structure

    • Duration: 24 months
    • Curriculum: Neurointerventional procedures (e.g., aneurysm coiling, AVM treatment), Stroke management (e.g., thrombectomy, thrombolysis), Cerebrovascular disease diagnosis and treatment, Research methodology and biostatistics, Journal club and case discussions
    • Mentorship by experienced faculty
    • Hands-on training and procedural experience

    • Mechanical Thrombectomy for Acute Stroke
    • Carotid Stenting & Vertebral Stenting
    • Arterial administration of clot lytic drugs
    • Brain Aneurysm Coiling
    • Flow Diversion by FD stent in complex and giant Aneurysms
    • Cerebral Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM) Embolization
    • Spinal Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM) Embolization
    • Tumour Embolization & Chemoembolisation
    • Chronic Subdural Hemorrhage (SDH) MMA Embolisation
    • Inferior Pterosal Sinus Sampling (IPSS) For Cushing’s Syndrome
    • Intracranial Venous Angiogram for Venous Sinus Stenosis and Venous Manometry and Stenting
Eligibility
  • MBBS with DM/DNB in Neurology/Neurosurgery or equivalent
  • Completion of residency program in Neurology/Neurosurgery
  • Interest in pursuing a career in neurointervention and stroke care
