Dr. R. Krishnan MBBS, MD (General Medicine)

Senior Consultant

Prof. Krishnan has been a physician since 1976. He retired as Professor & HOD of Medicine from Government Medical College, Calicut and more recently from MES Medical College, Perinthalmanna . He is an academic, was past President of Association of Physicians of India (API) – Kerala chapter and is currently President of the Calicut Forum of Internal Medicine (CALFIM). He trained in Medicine, Geriatrics and Neurology in The United Kingdom and taught Neurology at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. He was a teacher in Internal Medicine for UG and PG Students in various Government Medical Colleges in Kerala and supervised the thesis of several students for their MD and DNB (General Medicine) with several publications. His special interests are Neurology and Geriatrics.He is the chairman – PG Board of Medical Studies, Dean – Faculty of Medicine and Member of Senate in University of Calicut. He was the member in Board of UG Studies – Kerala University of Health Sciences till Dec 2018.
