Driven by passion to create benchmarks in the field of healthcare, BMH was formed in 1987 as a modest 52 bed facility. We had a dream to meet the growing healthcare needs of people in the region and a mission to make superior healthcare facilities available to the masses at affordable cost.
With the blessings of the Almighty and the relentless commitment by a team of professionals along with following ethical practices in every realm of healthcare and the unstinted support and patronage of our patients, BMH is now a multi specialty, tertiary care, referral hospital, running as a Public Limited Company.
Our commitment to creating new benchmarks in the field of healthcare since the past 30+ years has led us to achieving many milestones that have been benefiting the patient community at large.
At BMH, we have ultra modern, super specialty block, which houses the state-of-the-art departments of Cardiology, Oncology, Neurosciences, Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. These departments comprise ICUs, specialized operation theatres and clinical laboratories, which are run by the best medical professionals in the country, thus helping us provide world class medical facilities to our patients.
In the year 2006, we started Post Graduate DNB courses for doctors, for six specialties under the National Board of exams, as part of our commitment to the younger generation and with a purpose of fostering young talent. Further on, The Baby Memorial School of Nursing and the College of Nursing were established in 1995 and 2002 respectively. These institutes conduct courses in Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery, B.Sc. in Nursing and M.Sc. in Nursing. Both the institutions are recognized by the Indian and Kerala Nursing Councils and University. With eminent faculty, excellent infrastructure and facilities offered at BMH academy, we are the most sought after medical institute in south India.
We are always working towards upholding the high standards of healthcare, which has earned us NABH and NABL accreditations. BMH is certified by NABH for Nursing Excellence and Standards for Emergency Department . BMH is also both ISO 9001:2015 & 14001:2015 certified as the recognition of our uncompromising quality management system and genuine concern for the environment. This makes us the only hospital in India to have attained all five recognitions.
As we enter the 33rd year of our existence in the field of healthcare, I am proud to say that BMH is not only the finest corporate hospital in Kerala, but also a premier healthcare centre in south India.
