Clinical Hematology & Hemato Oncology
Clinical Hematology is branch of clinical medicine which deals with diagnosis and treatment of blood disorders and blood cancers. The department provides tertiary care services for patients with haematological disorders both benign and malignant.
The Department of Clinical Hematology looks after and treats people with blood related disorders. These include blood cancers (Leukemia, Lymphoma, multiple Myeloma), disorders associated with low hemoglobin (various types of anaemia), bleeding disorders (haemophilia and others), and other rare diseases.

He has worked and got trained at various prestigious institutes across the country like Christian Medical College, Vellore; Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute, Lucknow and Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, New Delhi. He has vast experience in management of hematological disorders including both benign and malignant conditions. His main areas of interests include hemato-oncological diseases like leukemias, lymphomas and myeloma and also bone marrow transplantation including haploidentical stem cell transplants. He got the Indo-American travelling fellowship and American Society of Hematology scholarship training awards for exposure in Bone Marrow Transplantation at MD Anderson Cancer, Houston, Texas; Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals-Seidman Cancer Centre, Cleveland, Ohio, USA.
