Cardiac Anesthesia

Cardiac surgery is one of the most complex procedures that require utmost care. We ensure quality anaesthetic care with specific attention to detail, focusing on patient safety and accurate result. Department of Cardiac Anaesthesia, a division of Anaesthesia Department of this hospital has been providing care for children and adults with various forms of congenital and acquired heart diseases as well as those with thoracic (lung and mediastinum) and vascular surgeries (major blood vessel diseases). The division provide a uniform dedicated team based care. The team care for patients in the operating room, Cardio Thoracic Intensive Care Unit, Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, as well as patients of other invasive and noninvasive diagnostics and therapeutic procedures.

Dr. Sanooj is a consultant in anaesthesia. He was trained in cardiac anaesthesia at Malabar Institute of Medical Sciences, Kozhikode and has been awarded a fellowship in cardiac anaesthesia after one year of post doctoral training (PDCC) at the institute.
He is a skilled anaesthetist and believes in setting exemplary standard in cardiac critical care.

Completed MD in anaesthesiology from Government medical college Thrissur. After completing post graduation, He worked as intensivist at Rajagiri hospital Kochi and there after at ASTER MIMS Kottakkal. He joined as cardiac anesthetist at Vadakara co-operative hospital as to take charge of CCU, ITU and MICU. He set up protocols in ICU and conducted various CME’s. He was instrumental in various teaching programs at various hospitals.
